The MERSILENE™ Suture, White, 18", Size 5-0, with S-14 needle is a nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture composed of poly(ethylene terephthalate). As a sterile polyester fiber, it is engineered to deliver long-term tensile strength and biocompatibility for soft tissue approximation in a wide range of surgical procedures.

The S-14 needle is a spatula-type needle specifically designed for ophthalmic and microsurgical applications. Its flattened cross-section and precision geometry allow it to pass through delicate tissue planes with minimal trauma. The needle’s structure provides high control and accuracy, essential for suturing in confined or critical anatomical regions, such as the anterior segment of the eye.
